I was looking for a good quality thermos for my 7 year old. I specifically didn't want a straw in the thermos, wanted it to be stainless steel to keep the water cold, and wanted something 14-16 oz. After a long search, I was very happy when I found this thermos flask and ordered two. It keeps drinks cold, it's thin for my kids to easily hold the bottle, and the flip mechanism button is easy to press. This thermos has two flaws that if corrected would make it the perfect baby thermos.1. The button doesn't have a locking mechanism, so if it's in the backpack and something else presses the button, the lid will open and the liquid will spill out. This is a pretty big omission.2. The handle on the lid for carrying the bottle leaves only a very narrow hand freedom. My child's thin fingers barely fit in the handle to hold it on the lid. Otherwise, this is a great thermos for kids.
