Review on Logitech Backlit Mechanical Keyboard Passthrough by Mateusz Gniazdowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product, more pros than cons.

Identical double-click, that's right. After 6 months of silence, it suddenly appeared for a few days before vanishing again. I had hoped that the issue had been resolved by now (the same thing happened a year after I bought the G402 mouse, and the mouse has functioned flawlessly for the past many years), but alas, now, 13 months later, the double clicks have resumed. Similarly, the G910 had the same issues in 2022, but the company fixed them for free after only a year and a half. Since Romer G hasn't been updated in six years, either Logitech is actively working to solve this issue or there is a fatal fault in the design or materials that has prevented them from doing so. Everything works as it should otherwise: the keyboard is substantial and stable when placed on a table; the design is tasteful without being distracting; the presses are clear; the sound is slightly loud but does not cause irritation; and so on. I'm a huge fan of Logitech products; my G402 mouse has been going strong for seven years, and my G430 mouse has been going strong for a little less time; the plastic is starting to crumble there, but I keep buying replacement parts and building new ones because the speakers and microphone are as good as new. However, I'm still not having any success with the keyboards. Double clicks are included on the Romer G's second joint.

Pros
  • The weight and beauty of the keys' tone
Cons
  • Doubleclick
