Review on πŸƒ Marathon Flat Free Lawnmower Tire 11x4.00-5" with 5" Centered Hub and 3/4" Bushings by Paul Dobson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The bearings in mine are well sealed ball bearings

I installed a pair of these in a 42" Mustang today. The first thing I'm going to say is that if your tools of a wrench and a screwdriver go in of your kitchen drawer, forget it. You can't fit these tires on a Mustang. The first thing you have to do is put a 1/2" rod in one side to knock out the bearing on the other side The shaft bearings are well sealed ball bearings Please note that when knocking out or reinserting you will only hit the outside edge of the outer clip I calculated how much I had to grind by measuring the difference between Mustang fork spacing and hub width I added the thickness of the flange on the bearings I marked the hub with a caliper and ran masking tape under the mark to do this it was easy to see how much there was to grind. I sanded the bearing and reinstalled it and tried putting it back on the mower but to no avail. The inner ring projects beyond the flange of the outer ring. I had already ground .200"+ on each side. I had to knock out the bearings and grind another .100 on each side. I reinstalled the bearings and now the wheels are on the mower. Original pneumatic tires but no longer worth flats. The drive is motivated just me to slow down on bumpy sections and stop hitting the mower btw i love this mower.
