Our daughter is four years old and I wanted her to start combing her hair. Until I found out she was using my brush and was having a hard time going into my room to get my brush and then putting it back so that seemed like a great solution. First I want to say that she loves her unicorn brush. The plush part of the toy is soft and feels good in the hand. Also, she seems to be able to go through her hair more easily. My main reason for giving it three stars is that I feel like the stubble isn't long enough. We found that the Welsh woman uses this, the top layer of her hair is combed back but the bottom layer is still combed. It seems to be the case even when I use it to clean. I always have to flip the brush and then brush from the bottom up to comb through all of my hair. Since she is four years old and is just learning to comb her hair, it is not quite suitable for the purpose of the purchase. Her hair really isn't that thick so I feel like the product could be improved.
