This is absolutely amazing in person. City Threads always has such great quality but this one is just amazing. The only negative thing I can say about it is that my daughter can't wear it to summer classes as hoped as it's a very heavy tank top. Inside - front and back - a lining made of light material like a swimsuit. This lining extends from the back of the shirt so it attaches just by sewing in at the seams. The shiny material of the mermaid lamé feels heavy so I think this would be a fall/winter tank top for sports or dance activities. The daughter says that she does not itch at all, but "warms up". She wore it for a while while hopping around the house and didn't complain about the sweating, but then again, she's not usually a sweaty girl. Machine wash/tumble dry on gentle cycle, no shine lost. Hooray!
