I've been looking for side tables for about 6 months. My other tables are black and I have a dark cherry wood TV cabinet with a built in fireplace. I thought this table was a little darker than it is; but i keep it anyway I figured I would have to assemble it from start to finish. nope I opened it up and found that I need a husband to help me get it out of the box because it's almost fully assembled. I removed the rest of the packaging material from the table as it is very well packaged. There is a shelf inside the table and brackets to hold the shelf under the table. I just took them out from under the table, put the brackets in the desk compartment (there are 3 shelf heights to choose from), plugged in the cable, done. The table looks great, all sockets and charging plugs work great, the height is perfect and it fits nicely between two rocking chairs in a tight space. My only complaint is that there were a few chips on the base fairing just outside the door. I have furniture markers; So I was able to tweak it for 5 seconds without anyone ever noticing. The box was damaged and was covered with tape in several places by the shipping company. The table was packaged so well that no damage to the box damaged the table. I also love the price. I checked this out regularly at Revain and other online retailers hoping to see a price drop and Revain popped up. I was able to purchase it for $115 which is a phenomenal price. My famous local furniture store wanted about $300 for similar tables. An online store known for good prices offered the same table for $179. So I'm happy with my purchase. My family room now looks complete as I no longer have a tray table between my chairs. It wasn't a very good prospect. If you are looking for this type of table I would definitely recommend it highly. This is a very well built table. It's a little heavy, so it can't be accidentally dropped or moved. I liked the magazine rack in the back. I can put my remote control car in a compartment with enough space for other items and put a full box of tissues on a shelf in the same compartment. I leave the phone cord plugged in and my husband and I easily charge our phones and tablets. I leave the lamp plugged in and my laptop is currently plugged in. I used to always have to use an extension cord so I could connect multiple items. I didn't think about it until I got this table. Connecting things has become much more convenient. I hope my review will help you choose. I have not added photos as they are no different from the seller's photos. What they show you is definitely what you get.
