I ordered this and another brand of camera as an upgrade to an existing security system. Build quality looks pretty good, all metal construction. The picture is quite clear in daylight and good at night. Where I think the camera falls off a bit is how you can align it when the base is docked. Basically, it relies on a single screw that tightens it both left to right, up and down, and during rotation. On the axis, left to right, he has notches that he wants to snap that tend to snap in large increments, say 15 degrees. However, this may not be the image you want. So I ended up removing two of the three base screws and then turned it like this and re-drilled the holes. That seems to have worked. Another issue I noticed was that the video from the camera seemed prone to interference on one of my remote mounts, where I think the connector showed some level of corrosion. In the end I moved the camera to a different location and the problem was resolved. It looked very pixelated on my remote monitor and there were wavy lines on the DVR screen. Everything is fine at the current position. Old cameras don't have this problem.
