This is a really good humidifier. The main advantage is that it is large, but also does not take up much space. It holds 1.59 gallons, so it doesn't need to be refilled every few hours. On the lowest settings, I averaged about 35 hours of battery life. Of course, the higher the setting, the quicker it finishes, but it still lasts a decent amount of time. I rarely had to run it past the first 8 dots on the dial. He did a great job adding moisture to the air while we had to turn on the heating. The humidifier is very easy to use right out of the box. It's easy to understand and use. You have the option of turning on the LED bulb feature by pressing the front button and letting it cycle through a rainbow of colors, or you can press it again to set it to one colour. You can switch between the individual colors at the push of a button and simply stop at the selected color. Repeatedly pressing the button will take you back to the OFF position, or you can long press to turn it off without cycling. On the right side of the base (when looking at the humidifier from the front) is a small compartment. If you wish, you can add essential oils here. It fits snugly against the side panel, making it easy to slide with your nails. If you turn the tank upside down there is a cap that unscrews so you can refill the tank. The lid also includes a filter cartridge. It contains small ceramic beads that filter out microorganisms, calcium and magnesium ions from the water. The filter is rated for approximately 500 hours of use and replacement cartridges are also available. Vented top cap directs fog flow where you want it. This cap only sits on top of the tank where the mist comes out, but not secured, so you'll need to remember to remove it when you lift the tank to refill. It's easy to forget, and when it falls, some water will splash. Actually there is only one downside that I found and that is the lack of a carry handle for the tank. Especially when it's full. When full it weighs about 13 pounds and can be a bit awkward to carry, flip and put back on the base. This probably won't be a problem for most people, but it might be something to consider for the elderly, infirm, and/or living alone. Overall, I am very satisfied with the humidifier and can recommend it.
