Review on Tifosi Tyrant 1.5 Dual Lens Reading Glasses: Superior Clarity and Comfort for Reading by Samantha Cortez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Now I can READ without having to switch from sunglasses to reading glasses!

Now I can read with sunglasses! I have and have always loved other Tifosi glasses and this one is no exception. The reading part is quite low on the lens, which takes a bit of getting used to to make the subject useful. If the reading part were higher, they would be in your line of sight at all times, so as long as the position is a bit low, it's better. they are safer. The nose piece can also be bent to adjust the fit, but be careful when bending it as it is attached to the frame with a small screw. The nose is also covered with non-slip rubber. Both the temples and noseband are ribbed to further improve traction. Very convenient and practical. These glasses are very light - you hardly hear them on your head. Rounded lenses provide excellent protection from peripheral sun and wind. An opening in the lens near the temple provides additional airflow to prevent fogging. FIT - I have a medium sized head and they fit my head well with about a 1/4 inch gap between the very edge of the lens and my face. The width of my face from temple to temple is about 5 inches. These glasses are not suitable for a large head. The only caveat is that these glasses are quite dark so perfect for bright sunlight but as the sun goes down I found them too dark. A photochromatic version would be perfect! The Tifosi website (TifosiOptics.com) shows that they now have "Night Light Fototec" readers. Fototec is Tifosi's photochromic technology. Next time I'll buy a pair! used them for running, biking and just everyday use.
