hanging up is so easy! Just smash the silver metal piece into the wall. 17 tiny nails go through holes in the top of the silver metal bracket. Once I had one of them in place, I used the little spirit level that came with it to make sure the mount was straight. (I used the end of a screwdriver instead of a hammer.) Once the bracket is in place, simply slide the shelf over the bracket. Super quick and easy and very durable. Actually I didn't use all the nails - the brace seemed strong with only 3 nails. (Disclaimer: I'm not saying 3 nails is enough but it looks like it would be enough. Will be confirmed with husband.) The shelf looks nice/modern and is deep enough for 2 very large styling tools and Long enough for 2 tools plus a small clothes steamer. Yes, I use this in the master bathroom above the outlet to store the items I want to leave without taking up countertop space. Very happy with this shelf. Chances are, buy more to place above your bedside tables, and possibly more to stack higher for even more convenient storage - - off the counters!
