Review on 3M Scotch #35 Electrical Tape Multi-Color Value Pack (10457NA) - 5 Rolls: Superior Electrical Insulation in a Convenient Set by Kino Gerami

I bought this masking tape because I was working on some lamps I bought. I bought 4 fluorescent bulbs from Lowe's and then bought replacement LED bulbs (which came with the tombstones) to use in place of the regular fluorescent bulbs. To change from fluorescent to LED you need to open the fixture and remove a part called the ballast. It's basically a heavy brick that all the wires that run the fluorescent lights run through. LED lamps do not need this and are connected directly. I removed the ballast by cutting the wires as needed and pulling the ones from the power cord out of the ballast so I didn't have to strip the wires. I took the new tombstones that came with colored wires and attached them. I then connected them all together with the appropriate connections using screw caps and this tape. Multi-colored tape comes in handy when you want to make it really easy to identify the connections you're making. I used white for the white wires, red for the black wires, and green to tie and staple all the extra length of wire together so it doesn't pop out when I put the cover back on the bracket. The tape did exactly what it was supposed to do and I have no complaints. A note I want to make for those who aren't very good with measurements is that this band is only 1/2 inch wide. The tape you typically find in stores is 3/4" wide, slightly wider and in some cases easier to use. I didn't care and in no way prevented me from completing the wiring I did, but for some people it can make a difference If that doesn't bother you and you want duct tape in a few easily recognizable colors then buy this cute little kit and be assured it will get the job done.
