I love these headphones. I was then able to try my hand at many other first-class banks. Brands B&O, Bose, Sony, Senhisers, Audio Technica, Master & Dynamic, even the Skullcandy Crusher 360. Many other brands were much more expensive. I will tell you. Two brands stood out and sounded amazing AND what many of the reviews seem to forget is THE VOLUME! Starting with Crusher 360 and Sony Xm3. I liked both for what they were created for, but they lacked volume! I work a lot, and when I do, my ears are bonded for some reason. I need to pump that volume! There's nothing worse than cranking up the volume only to find it's at 100%. Then I found a bestseller with a magnolia cut and was able to try pretty much any pair of headphones I wanted. The Vmodas were characterized by their sound, a very interesting signature, bright mids and highs and tight, deep bass. The Master & Dynamic MW50+ also marginalized the Vmoda in the mids, but they fall apart in the rap. vmodas brings the bass baby! They don't have the amazing bass that the 360s have, but they're right. Ears no longer tire during exercise. Build quality is top notch, they look and feel very good, unlike the Sony XM3s which felt cheap, sounded good but lacked volume. I bought them from BestBuy with a 4 year guarantee for around $450. A few days later I found them on Black Friday at Revain for $220! Of course they weren't Codex additions, but if you buy rose gold you only lose AAC and I still don't use an iPhone. Meeting. Walking and exercising would move the headphones and ruin the "amazing" sound. After trying the $500 B&O cans, I'm very happy with my $220 Vmoda cans! You sound a lot better. And with the money I saved I bought XL pads and that didn't make much of a difference either. They used to be comfortable, now they are. Forget it! Vmoda Extras Lifetime Guarantee with 50% discount.
