Review on Phthalate-Free Aveeno Positively Sensitive Sunscreen: Safeguard Your Skin Effectively by Brooke Flora

Revainrating 5 out of 5

good for melanin lovers

This is the best mineral sunscreen I've ever used (previously used Neutrogena Invisible Zinc, La Roche Posey Anthelios Mineral) Pros: It's not thick or greasy. Leaves a soft matte finish on my skin. 2. Doesn't leave a noticeable white/ghost cast on my skin tone (medium olive). Cons: The consistency is quite runny (milky) so I'd recommend applying two coats (just in case). It does seem to "build up" but with more than two coats it can look like regular mineral based sunscreen = slight ghost film. One of the reasons I usually skip sunscreen is because I don't react well to chemical sunscreens. When I'm outside, mineral sunscreen makes me either very oily (with very unattractive beads of sweat on my nose and lips) or, more confusingly, oily and ashy. I hope this product isn't discontinued because I've found my holy grail of sunscreen.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Too long to wait
