I've had other Nikons before. This is the most complex with so many features and possibilities. I bought the DUMMIES book to find out. Loading film and shooting with my Nikon FG film camera is like going from driving a Ford to a Jet 747. The transition takes more learning but so far the results are worth it and will be worth the switch . Right now the photos are better focused and I have better control over the whole process. I like it! If you really want to get more out of your photography, this is the right place to start; If you haven't yet learned how to tune into stations on your car stereo, stick with the Iphone.
