I have been buying this cleaner for many years. It was around $8-9 at the store I bought it from for many years. It's been hard to find lately so I decided to pick it up from Revain. The price seemed reasonable, although I was stuck buying two at a time. Didn't notice the size so was very disappointed when I received it and found it was half the size. I checked elsewhere - apparently Purpose decided to halve the production per bottle and keep the price the same. That's just ridiculous speculation. I like the product, but if a company thinks that repackaging into a smaller bottle will give them more than 50% profit, I'm not sure it's worth it.
