I really like this chair. But I wouldn't say 5+. My 5 year old fits but he definitely won't if he goes on another growth spurt. It's also quite firm, not soft and squishy as you might think. Although the quality is good and I like the fans. I have one each for my 5 year old and 2.5 year old because they fight over the old broken one they had. They both love her and that's all that matters to be honest. And I love that if I spill something on it I can just wipe it away. Old microfiber and full of nasty stains.
