Spend a little more and buy real leather boots if your kid doesn't want to wear them just for a cute look. The sole is not solid but hollow, filled with the same material as the upper part of the sole. My 2 year old son wore out the outsole on 2 balance bike rides. Now his feet get soaked when the ground is wet. save your money
