Review on Blocking Genuine Leather Minimalist Wallets Men's Accessories and Wallets, Card Cases & Money Organizers by Mike Castro

Great wallet for the money - great features, great price!

This minimalist Serman Brands RFID blocking slim bi-fold genuine leather wallet (version 1.0 with ID window on inner flap) offers excellent value for money. I went for full grain leather and gray color options. For around $29 I was happy to find a good quality wallet, with clean, tight, well-executed stitching, even grain/dyeing, and rounded edges for durability and a clean finish. An outer flap (the "front" of the wallet) has a simple cut-out pocket to make it easier to push cards out with your thumb. This slot can easily hold two cards, technically more if you stretch it, but it seems perfect for storing a card you use the most (I keep my main credit card in there for easy access). Pull the tab to access the cards inside. I was afraid the strap would be useless and flimsy, but in practice it's well made and surprisingly comfortable. Leather tab at the end. The smooth sheen of the webbing makes work go smoothly, and when cards are pulled out, they protrude about 2 inches from the pocket for easier handling. Four cards fit easily in the slot without interfering with the smooth functioning of the pull tab. more, but why overload it and stretch the skin? There are plenty of pockets for other cards if desired. There is an adjustable money clip on the inside that seems to hold bills securely in place. I've had no trouble clipping them shift or slip out. When the wallet is open, there are two additional slots for additional cards on the left side. Each of these slots can hold 1-2 cards, or in my case a thin stack of three ultra-thin laminated paper cards. which my bank issues to account holders for each account, plus an equally thin laminated health insurance card. One of these slots would also be the perfect place for 3-4 business cards. On the other (right) side is a clear ID window. This is where you normally stash your driver's license, but the slot is thick enough that you can slip another card behind it (in my case, my GA gun license). It's a little tricky to get the IDs back, but there's a cutout in the middle of the transparent window to help with that. That's all for the features. In general, the base of the wallet is slightly thinner in length and particularly in width/height than many other wallets, and when folded it is also quite thin as the money clip eliminates the need for an extra layer or two of leather that normally makes up the bill pocket in the more typical double purse. No, it's not ultra-minimalist, but it's perfect for the needs of the typical man. While I love the idea of losing weight to keep things simple, there are actually a number of rarely used cards that I need to keep in my wallet or it becomes extremely inconvenient on the rare occasions I need it , maybe disastrous you. . This includes my health and dental insurance cards (which I otherwise forget to take with me to checkups once or twice a year), my GA gun license (which must be carried at all times when concealed carry, and you never know when an officer will stop you who might want to see it), a Costco card (would be frustrating not to have this with me when my wife calls to ask me to pick something up on the way home). from work) and so on. Of course, if I didn't worry about having to carry it with me whenever the need unpredictably cropped up, I could easily downsize to a true minimalist wallet that only holds 3-5 cards. But actually I ended up yelling the F-word at least five times a year, maybe more if I inevitably had to drive all the way home again from leaving those cards on the dresser or in another car. So this is a great, decently thin, very comfortable wallet, with some of the best features that "cooler" minimalist wallets offer (like quick release tabs, external access, etc.), in a seemingly well-made form factor, and decent, durable materials. And it's only $30 or less?! What a great thing. Get one! I bet you'll find it great unless you're overly style conscious or want it to have a much nicer vegetable tanned leather smell (this one smells like chrome tanning which is more of a chemical smell by comparison, but still good). Highly recommended due to the excellent price-performance ratio.
