Although the packaging specifically states for warmer weather use, I figured I'd give it a try when skinning over 10,500ft at 15-20F because it essentially replaced a broken bite valve; It does not insulate in the cold (15-20F) even when water is blown back into the bladder to prevent the straw from freezing. I only recommend this product for over 30F. The bite valve cover is really good and is easy to remove and put back on the bite valve while riding. Back to finding a good cold weather straw.
