Didn't work for me!

Bought a new TV (Sony XR-55X90J). In theory, it can control all your devices with one remote control. It didn't work well with my cable box (Arris DCX3600M, Spectrum Cable vendor). The cable box is connected to the television via HDMI. Easy enough. After some research, I found out that the cable box interferes with HDMI CEC [Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is an HDMI feature that allows users to control HDMI-connected devices with just one remote control]. The study also showed that the way to reduce interference is to disable CEC for this device. It turns out that pin 13 of the HDMI cable carries the CEC signal. The BlueRigger 4K HDMI CEC Less Adapter should eliminate the CEC signal. It didn't work for me. I also tried the Lindy HDMI CEC Less Adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Lindy-HDMI-Adapter-Female-41232/dp/B00DL48KVI/ref=dp_prsubs_1?pd_rd_i=B00DL48KVI&psc=1). This worked fine for me.
