I've tried at least 20 pairs of shoes so far. They drained well and were comfortable even for trekking 5 miles up a mountainside in the rain and mud. I was able to get the support I needed. You could feel the air hitting the soles of your feet, which was very pleasant. Once wet they drained well even if there was some sand in them. When dirt got into the mesh on the bottom of the shoe it was quite difficult to remove but it came out. Also remember that sand gets into your shoes when you walk on sand. The lining comes off easily and is fairly easy to clean. In an area with 90 percent humidity and daily rain, they dry out pretty damn fast.
