The functionality of this device is very good with all the inputs that most people would like to use with the new I-Pad 11 Pro. It's very well made, feels good, and plugging the USB-C into the iPad at a right angle is a pretty useful idea. My reason for giving 3 stars instead of 5 is when connecting a Vanmass hub to a tablet I. It is not possible to listen to music through the tablet's speakers or Bluetooth headphones. This disables your ability to hear music, except for the old 3.5 cable connection that's built into this hub. I was very disappointed when I even emailed their tech support to try it out and they assured me that these two features would work. Well, that might be an issue for some, but their description says it's for the new iPad Pro. and I'd rather listen through Bluetooth or through the speakers on the iPad itself rather than worrying about the 3.5mm cable. But I like the build quality and its functionality. I don't know why their engineers can't build this feature. Well maybe in the updated model UPDATE :: Vanmass recently contacted me in mid-November 2020 and sent me an upgraded unit with 9 inputs instead of the original 8 I originally purchased. They sent me another 8 port which I have to say is made out of glass and aluminum and if music isn't an issue this would be a great USB-C hub. I've increased my rating from 3 to 5 stars because they fixed my issue by replacing my 8 port hub with a new 9 port USB-C hub that looks and feels very good and out Seems to be aluminum, it's a bit bigger than their 8-port USB-C hub But I'm happy with the new one. One more note:::: The support team worked really hard to accommodate my needs and that alone makes my update my original review. Thank you Naomi, support.
