This is the first thermometer of this type we have and I have thought long and hard about getting one. I took advantage of the Revain Prime deals and got a good discount here. It's lightweight and easy to use once you get the hang of it. It's not rocket science, but the instructions are very poorly written. It's always obvious when something is translated from Chinese to English and I wish these companies would hire Americans to look at their products and write instructions from scratch instead of translating what was written for the Chinese market. Anyway, I checked the temp readings with our old digital meter and they were correct, so I think if the old one was accurate then this one is too. And it's an instant read, as opposed to holding a thermometer in your mouth for a minute or more to take your temperature and worrying about using tip caps or disinfecting afterwards. I really like this clinical thermometer!
