This is the first Chromebook I've owned! I had a Windows PC and am an avid Apple Mac user! This Chromebook is a beauty, love the gold color! This Acer 14 Chromebook is fast! Turns on and off quickly! Switch between pages quickly! I'm learning how to use it, the only thing I wanted was to transfer some stuff from my Mac to a Chromebook with a flash drive, I really just had to open google docs and create spreadsheets and add all the info. It took a while but I think it will work! I've only had it for a few days and was at work so not much time to figure it all out! But so far everyone loves it! I ordered a 128GB flash drive for the Acer Chromebook for storage! I don't like the idea of paying Google Drive for storage, I can bring a flash drive to access my files. The webcam isn't great and Skype isn't the best here! Last night I tried to skype with my mom and she said the video wasn't good at all and after a while she was on my end. She will share her screen with me so I can help her with her Macbook Air and she tried but it wasn't shared from my end. Well I have an iMac and an iPad that I can use and I can use Skype on my phone too! I will adapt to the changes between Mac and Chromebook. I also had to adapt from Windows to Mac and fell in love with Mac. I'll probably love Chromebooks too! Basically I bought a Chromebook to see if my husband and I could switch from Mac to Chromebook and when! We've had our Macs since 2009 and no issues other than my iMac which needs a hard drive after 7 years of use. My husband's MacBook Pro, no problem! I hope we can do everything we normally do on our Macs on a Chromebook! Update 2/27/17 I've had this Acer for about 2 weeks now and am learning to work with all the things I've tried before! I just took my flash drive and uploaded it to Google Sheets and there it was. I'm just in love with this Chromebook! I could have some settings around me and be so happy! I wear it all the time when I'm at home and would like to take it with me to work (but I wouldn't wear it to work because of it). I highly recommend this Acer 14 Chromebook! UPDATE 12/29/18 I still use my Acer daily! It's still responsive, starts up and shuts down, switching between pages is fast! You never thought I've had it for about 2 years! A Windows machine would be slower! I would say that for certain tasks you still need a regular computer like we would have to get into our apple airport and maybe print photos! But this Chromebook is great for everyday use! I like it! UPDATE 1-1-20 I'm still using my Acer Chromebook! I found it to be just a little slower than when it was new! But it's been almost 3 years and it's not long enough for me to factory reset it {I've read that a pressure flush is as quick as buying new}! I still love it, everything I need works great! I see myself using it until it dies! Who knows when that might happen!
