This is a fairly basic 60 pound magnet with a scratch resistant, non-slip rubber coating. You will have no problem holding a camera, flashlight or other photography accessory to anything metallic. It takes some effort to get rid of them. They should be good for attaching action cameras to the body. But here's a tip: ALWAYS have a security cable handy when mounting the camera to a moving vehicle. You probably won't have any problems, but if you have a heavier camera and hit a big hole in the road or get stuck in a bush, the security cable will save you from losing your camera. I had an issue with them, the first set I received was marked 1/4-20 female but actually had M6 threads so none of my camera stuff would fit. The seller quickly sent me a second set but they were also marked 1/4-20 but were actually M6. The third kit they sent me was correct and all the accessories for my 1/4-20 camera fitted well. A few other people had this problem as well, so I suspect the seller must have received some mislabeled parts. I'm not deducting the stars for this because the seller resolved the issue quickly and flawlessly. I would advise once you get them to check that the threads are correct. If not, simply contact the seller through Amazon and they will take care of you.
