I'm just starting to learn how to record my drum kit but for my purposes I'm very happy with how they sound. I don't pick up any pops or hiss, and the clarity they give me is far better than what I've gotten before with cheap dynamic mics. Of course, I'm no sound engineer, but to me the cymbals sound brilliant and realistic, and the toms and snare also sound spectacular. However, it is crucial to pair them with a bass microphone. Right now I'm doing a cheap impression of the Glyn Jones method with these overheads, a used Avantone Mondo and one of those cheap Pyle PDMIC78s on the snare. I found that I almost didn't need a dedicated snare line in this setup because with rising overheads the snare sits right in the mix anyway and offers more presence than the nearby mic offers. Better to pick up my drums and learn to really hear, I may find I need to upgrade but for starters I couldn't be happier.
