5 spinners out of 12 stopped working

I bought these spinners for myself and another teacher to use in our preschool. We teach children from 4 years. School started in August and on September 5th of September 12th she stopped working. When trying to hook the top of the spinner, the spinner would not hold the coil. It was spinning in our hands before we could put it on the floor.
