I know crystal deodorants don't work for everyone, but for me they work very well for normal everyday use. I will try to explain my experience for people who have never tried it. Most importantly, these deodorants don't use perfume to mask odors. Aluminum crystals have antibacterial properties and prevent (or slow) the growth of odor-causing bacteria on the skin. I suspect if you sweat a lot, or if your skin gets wet and "washes away" what you've got on, then the bacteria start to multiply and you start to smell. To use, submerge the crystal under water for a second. I think that the outer part dissolves easily when wet. Then wipe the wet (dissolved) part on the skin. You don't even feel it, but there's a thin layer on your skin I think. (Note: It takes a VERY long time for the entire crystal to dissolve. My last one lasted a couple of years. Sometimes you just want to get a replacement when over time the crystal dissolves enough to get sharp edges, but this can last a very long time.) One thing: What I love about this crystal deodorant is that it doesn't irritate my skin like normal use of other deodorants does. Now I can use a 'regular' deodorant from time to time when I really need extra protection and this infrequent use no longer causes irritation. shape (nice, wide and sleek) and is a good deal for the amount you get.
