magnetic door catch doesn't work

I really like this cabinet. It looks so cute and adorable in my kids room. I feel like it's very Montessori because you can arrange the toys in a nice clean line where you can see everything to play with. It also contains quite a lot of toys and if you want you can put buckets inside to hold more small toys. I already had a bucket for small toys so I used it for her big toys. I also like a place to tuck all of my daughters stuffed animals on top and even the bottom can be tucked away for small things. The cabinet was very easy to assemble and didn't take long. Everything you need was there except for a screwdriver. I have 2 problems with it. One smells really bad when you open it. I'm not sure what chemicals they used on the interior boards, but they stink. You can't smell it when the doors are closed so it's only inside but the smell is very strong and makes me think about its safety. I don't have kids cutting on it but that would be my problem if I did. This is also advertised for the bathroom and if it were a small enough bathroom the smell would overpower the room making it difficult to breathe. Another problem I had is that the small magnets that are supposed to keep the door closed aren't very strong and don't hold doors closed at all. It takes several times before they finally snap into place and stay locked. that's both good and bad. This annoys me as I like to keep them closed when not in use because of the smell, but it's great for my 1 year old daughter to be able to open them and get to her toys by herself.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was
