Cumbersome setup, sounds like a phone call

I bought this to get rid of the proprietary dongles that come with wireless headsets and was happy to see a bluetooth option for such a good headset. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth software just doesn't meet my need for clear audio as well as "call mode" when communicating over Discord. It says it's certified for Discord, but defaults to hands-free mode when using the mic and headphones at the same time over a Bluetooth connection. This headset sounds great with USB-C and 3.5mm jacks, and even Bluetooth if you're not using a mic. Corsair doesn't seem to fully support this device in the I-Cue app I use for my keyboard and mouse. The app offers EQ and microphone adjustments, but does not support firmware updates or advanced settings. Proprietary dongles communicate on a different frequency and bandwidth, allowing a higher bit rate to be transmitted when using both headphones and a microphone that Bluetooth simply cannot transmit. I've updated and changed a few settings and also tried 5 separate devices to see if my bluetooth adapter was the problem but to no avail. It also doesn't work with my Android phone when using the Discord app. This seems to be another software issue as you can't choose which device to use for the microphone. TL; DR Sounds good when plugged in and sounds like you're talking underwater on an early 1900's phone when using Bluetooth mode.
