Before that, there were Redmi AirDots S, so I compare with them. I did not notice any significant differences in sound quality, except that the GT5 has a slightly less pronounced bass (but in general the sound is more balanced) and the maximum volume is lower (not critical). The AAC codec really works (I checked it), but I did not notice any difference with SBC. I consider the main advantage of the GT5 to be a cool case with a charge indicator, otherwise its absence infuriated Redmi. However, Redmi fits better in my ears, feeling slightly smaller and therefore more comfortable. The main drawback of the GT5 for me was the touch control, which is a real nightmare that ruined the whole experience of the headphones for me. Due to the hypersensitivity of the sensor, it is virtually impossible to correct the earpiece in the ear without pausing the track or switching to the previous/next one. The circles denoting the sensor zone are generally ridiculous, but yes, I have eyes on my fingers and I see where I poke. In general, it turned out that the mechanical buttons in Redmi AirDots are a real ideal. No accidental clicks: turn on the music when you want, turn it off when you want. For the same reason, the sensor for removing the earpiece from the ear is completely useless for me. I manage to press the sensor a million times just by taking the earpiece out of my ear, so after sticking the earpiece back into my ear, I have to listen to the track from the other end of the playlist. I don’t know if my fat fingers are the problem, but I will never again buy headphones with a sensitive sensor.
