I ordered these because I already had the simple rainbow colors that I love, but wanted some iridescent glitter like my old ones but with some sparkle. Photos for them make them look like gems that matter for texture and would be quite brilliant. In person, however, they are tiny and not very shiny. The only thing I complain about is the size and clarity of the gemstones, other than the loop at the bottom isn't as visually appealing as my others which have a hinged wire instead. But I knew about the hinge when I bought them, so it doesn't really matter. I just want the gemstones to be as bright and solid as pictured and the color variation of the metal to be as dramatic as pictured. One of mine is just a glossy green with some gold tinge on one side and doesn't show the color range as shown in the photos. I am still giving these 4 stars because they are durable, comfortable and I don't have to worry about them rotating freely through my nose piercing like some of the thinner ones. I have a feeling they should be around $8 instead of $10.99, but I don't really regret buying them.
