Due to the amount of positive feedback on this mic we chose it for our service Our first unit arrived but wouldn't turn on so we had to send it back Then I decided to buy a second unit I bought it hoping the first one was just defective. The set arrived on time, the build quality is excellent. I used it at the dedication service in April and then stored it in the transmitters with no batteries. Last week we had a youth conference and another Dedication service, so I took out the unit, plugged it in, put the batteries in, then hit the power button, I was very disappointed that the manual control changed not switch on, but became very hot within seconds. When I opened the battery compartment, I noticed that the batteries started to crackle. I changed the batteries but encountered the same problem. The headset still works, but the manual controls are disappointing. I will update this review accordingly. However, I will not buy this product again at the moment.
