Attention buyers. This laptop comes with a very old copy of Windows in "S mode", which means it doesn't install any software that isn't offered in the Windows Store (so really something from Google or anyone). You can't get out of S mode because the Windows copy isn't genuine and won't activate. I spent hours updating my copy of Windows on the device hoping it would help and then another hour with Acer customer support who kept telling me to type commands and go to menus, that were not present on this device. They then told me to do a factory reset which got me back to square one. It looks like the only easy way out of this loop is to PAY FOR A REAL WINDOWS LICENSE, WHICH costs $199, which is about $7 less than what we paid. for the WHOLE COMPUTER. This all seems very fraudulent. I would recommend people invest in a Chromebook or something.
