Review on Keith Titanium Ti3060 Canteen Mess Kit: Ultralight with Carrying Pouch – New and Improved by Cesar Rios

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great canteen but a bit disappointed with the bodywork.

Summary: I like the dining room itself, but the closet could use some improvement. The dining room itself is great. I have several Keith Titanium products and they are all well made. Importantly, this bottle holds 37.2 ounces of liquid (1.1 L), which is more than the 1 quart (947 mL) bottle used by the US military. I will mention this again below. I was a bit disappointed with the fabric cover. It seems well built, but I'm not a fan of brown digital camo. I would have preferred the default "olive" green to match my gauzy belt. Also, I believe the case was originally designed for a 1 liter bottle. The included case has a drawstring, but it's too low to hold the bottle effectively. You have to use brown webbing to hold it in place and it fits snugly to put on your bottle. I was originally hoping that this bottle would have the same external dimensions as a standard US 1 quart military bottle, and I even went so far as to order a surplus cap for the US bottle, but since Keith's titanium bottle is larger than the standard bottle is, she will. doesn't fit. . Keith Titanium is too large to fit in a standard military case. Overall, my verdict is still positive, which is why I give the product four stars. The dining room itself is great but I think the hull needs some work. If you love the fact that you can carry an extra 5.2 fl oz (154 ml) of liquid then you will love this bottle. If you're hoping for a bottle that is a complete replacement for the American military's plastic bottle, then you may be disappointed. I am attaching some photos below. As I mentioned above, the US military belt and green bottle pouch were purchased separately and are NOT included. As you can see, the Keith Titanium canteen is 1 liter larger than the standard US military canteen, so the green case is too small. You can also see that the cord on the included pouch is too low to hold the bottle effectively. It should ideally rest over a dining room's shoulder, so I think this cover was originally intended for a small dining room.

Pros
  • Keith is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company (accredited by CNAS, an IAF member). It is also a GMC-certified manufacturer (audited by TÜV Rheinland). Samples of Keith titanium products have passed the EU food standard test (German LFGB) and the US FDA test (both by SGS).
Cons
  • Not everything fits
