This set is very practical. I've never owned a snuff or wick spoon and that's why I bought this set. The wick trimmer works great. I've found that with three-wick candles I prefer the wick to the bell-shaped one, and I'll tell you why. There are several ways to extinguish the flame. Blowing is fast and efficient, but I hate the smoldering smoke that rises after putting it out this way. It becomes the dominant scent compared to the candle you lit.2. If you use a snuff bell, it will put out the flame instantly and with minimal smoke... but you will end up with a pile of wax left on the snuff making it seem like you are wasting the wax and shortening the life of the candle. I think this style of snuff would be great for a tall pillar candle. VIC DIPPER reigns supreme. One simply draws the wick into the melted wax and it snuffs it out without smoke, and also coats the wick with wax, which seems to be useful for reigniting. Are you a fan of candles?
