Have been looking for a reasonably priced new cotton since Native Wicks went out of business and wish I had switched to this sooner. Gone are the days when cotton was split lengthwise to fit a 3mm spool. Gone are the days of licking your fingers and twisting the ends to push the cotton through the bobbins. They are designed to fit snugly (but not too tightly) on 3mm spools. It's also worth noting that at first glance they seem too short. But the 'lace' cap slips off as soon as you pull it through the spool, revealing the clean and usable cotton underneath. At this point they are perfect for rewicking.
