When I order something made of plastic, the user reviews usually say the plastic smells bad. I ignore them, there is always someone sensitive to the smell of plastic. Silly me. These mats are mean. I bought the clear color from a retail store and bought two blue ones here. Maybe it's the color, I don't know. The first week I left them "outdoors" thinking it would take the smell away. Then I soaked them in Tide for 24 hours. Then soak them in white vinegar and dish soap for 48 hours. You still have a very unpleasant smell - running out of the room, a chemical disaster, the smell of a meltdown. Hand back.
