I had a $40 collar but lost the remote. So I decided to take it cheaper until I find it. I really like this collar. Be sure to check the punching power. I saw a reviewer say they've been using it for 30! I used it on myself at the age of 10 and it really impressed me! Use rubber covers to avoid burning your dog's skin. The remote control is comfortable, the light is pleasant. If not already paired, the instructions were very simple. Mine came in pairs. The only thing that was better about my $40 collar was the collar itself. This one is like rubber. Another nylon that is cut and worn. A little more comfortable. But not a deal breaker. I heated it with hot water before attaching it to the device to adjust the shape. I like the rechargeable unit and the remote control. Overall this collar works great! Update: I love the little remote strap! I can hang it around my neck, and it's very convenient for me not to hold it in my hands until it's done. He's always there when I need him. I found that when I had to reach for another, my timing was often not quick enough to be effective. The horn is also louder than my more expensive one. And the vibration intensity is better adjustable. I didn't have to use shock more than once because the other two features work really well.
