Not sure why the belt runs small. But like all Sitka, yes. Does it have to be the little guys in China? The recommended size on the website was average for a 30-36 waist - my pants size is 33 - and the buckle was moved to the end of the belt enough for it to slip out. LOL - and no, don't lose heart trying to wear a medium!
