Review on Portable In-Ear Back Electric Microphone - Omnidirectional Wired Headset Pro Voice Audio Condenser Mic with 4 Pin Mini XLR Cable Wire, Windscreen - Shure System Compatible - Pyle Pro PMEMS10 (Skin Tone) by Joyce Keesling

The quality is almost competitive at radio shop prices.

I hesitated to buy this mic for our pastor because the wire in his lavalier mic was shorted. I used a Countryman mic when I was a pastor and I really liked it, but the prices were too high for our current situation. That's the price of Radio Shack. Right? Well I took it to setup, plugged it in. It immediately struck me that I had to reduce the gain by more than thirty percent (the lapel on the headset is of great importance, of course). But more importantly, Pastor's voice was loud and clear. We meet in a gym with concrete walls, so everything we do rings and rings. This tends to muffle the mids in Pastor's voice. But now, while we still have reverb, those mids are much cleaner again. In terms of fit, Pastor had no issues at all with them sliding or moving on him. I also tried it on when I first got it, and while it's not as flexible as the Countryman or as comfortable, it didn't bother me while preaching either. For the price it's definitely worth it. In the future we will buy a Countryman for him and leave it to these guest speakers, mainly because we can mold the other one much more easily to make it a perfect fit. But it will be a luxury. In short: buy. Even if it's one-third to one-half the country man's price, buy it. But at under $20, it's foolish not to buy one, or even pick up a few extra "just in case". UPDATE: 7/1/2015 I still admire the mic. We haven't had any issues with it and it still delivers quality sound. Last week we had a guest speaker who used a microphone and again there were no problems. This mic is really worth getting if you are on a budget. The only reason I would go with the Countryman is the sheer flexibility of the Countryman, but only when needed.
