Great on oak. Following the advice from the YouTube video, I applied it as thinly as possible with a 2x2 white cloth, applying pressure and working across the grain. After a few minutes I wiped off the excess with a 2x2 paper towel and rubbed the fibers. Two coats everywhere except on the tabletop which has three coats applied. The table looks great and the character of the wood is much better than the old lacquer. A few tweaks: I had a light stain that's not as much stain as the rest of the wood and didn't look very good after the first coat. I tried repainting this area and the stain went right through the finish. After the second and third layer everything looked perfect. It smells almost imperceptibly of drying material. Between that and the citrus strip, I can fix the furniture around the house with no complaints (other than being told she'll take my grinder away if I ever use it again at 2am).
