I'm 5'2, 140-145 lbs, 32" to 33" waist and 42" to 43" hips (big luggage ) not very short me as I'm petite, long are fine. XL is about two fingers or almost 2 inches wider, more on my waist. I believe XL easily fits a 34-36" waist and hips up to 46" because the shorts are stretchy. I wear large and usually XL from China. The bottom is ok but the shorts have the wrong one somewhere Size. I will return it and buy a size L. You can choose a smaller size. Hope this helps. I bought silver, don't know if there are other colors in the same size.
