I usually wear small and the dressing gown is slightly smaller. The elastic on the top is pretty tight when you line up the velcro, but it won't fall off! It's soft and absorbent, but not as thick as a towel, actually thin. The elastic buttonhole of the hair towel is too small. It took 3-4 attempts to attach it after wrapping my hair. Eventually I gave in, so the towel eventually unraveled and fell to the floor, drips still dripping from my hair.
