Review on Speedo Solid Super Pro Prolt Women's Clothing and Swimsuits & Cover Ups by Kim Morris

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Yes it runs small even with a swim fit

I swim 3 times a week for 1 hour so I prefer to buy a skinny suit as other reviewers say suits stretch with regular use . I'm 5'3", 100 lbs, have a long torso, and the most comfortable fit for me is a 34. But after a few months, all of my 34 suits were falling apart and making these unsightly bubbles when I swim, and draped like saggy Coffee filters when I get out of the water (not to mention the fabric looks translucent when stretched) My 32 suits from different brands will initially feel tight (even chafe at times and need petroleum jelly) but then after a month or so they feel perfect. So I chose 32. On the positive side, no chafing at all. But it's really really tight in the shoulders to the point that it hurts and my muscles ache and also pull in the bikini line. Like others on it have pointed out, this appears to have been cut for those with a short torso.I've been wearing my suit for a few weeks now and the discomfort has subsided, ie the suit has started to feel w It stretches and feels a lot better as expected, but due to the cut I'm not sure if the discomfort will go away entirely. I know this suit will last longer, but every time I'm in the pool I wish I'd picked a 34. On the other hand, it's a very inexpensive fabric (fully lined and looks very durable) - - an incredible price (probably due to the odd size). I washed it before wearing (cold, gentle in a machine with detergent, line dry) so I wash it once a month. They tell you never to use a fabric detergent, but I find that simply rinsing in water doesn't completely remove the chlorine etc. Also, washing it this way will stretch it a bit, which helps with the fit! :)

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • It makes me nervous
