Review on Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet: High-Protein Grain-Free Wet Cat Food in Broth - Chicken, Tuna, or Whitefish Options - 2.5oz Pouches (Pack of 24) by Sheila Myers

Seems to be a hit with cats. Will continue to buy

Ordered chicken flavor. Hopped on food to find out what my cats like. This is one of them. First of all, they lap up the broth. Then bite slowly. Although there are some things that concern me. I wish they had a canned version as I'm not sure how much BPA is in or how hot the food is packaged in these pouches. Also, all those drug-filled plastic containers can't be recycled. Generates more pollution. Aside from BPA, there can be other issues as well. Another important factor is that it's owned by Smuckers, a company that makes cheap quality sweet jams. I'm not sure how this affects the operation of this unit and what corners are cut or uncut. The quality of the chicken used. As for Thailand, many cat brands are said to source their food from there. Probably because of cheaper labor and the cost of raw materials. Tiki Kat is one of them. People complaining about the taste of tuna. In general, you should not feed your cat fish unless it is unblemished. Unlike humans, cats are tiny and accumulate mercury and heavy metals in their blood much faster, which can lead to health problems. But at the end of the day, life is hard enough to try to figure out your own diet and be budget conscious in addition to satisfying your picky eaters. I alternately feed them 3 different types. It passes the smell test, it's inexpensive, and best of all, kitties love it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • The list will be long.
