This adapter came early from BatteryMon and at first glance I thought it was a return. (While recovering in the hospital, I dropped my computer next to my bed; it fell sideways on the floor where the adapter was plugged in, and although I caught it with a bounce, the screen went black. After that, I thought I might (It also didn't charge me for the broken adapter or unceremoniously watched the demise of this refurbished laptop I bought about 60 days ago.) Not being tech savvy, I called my rather expensive 24/7 computer repair service and leave a message. I was unfamiliar with the computer specs and couldn't get them from the laptop itself. After calling the service center a few more times to no avail, I decided to buy an adapter online to see if that solved the problem. I took the risk of buying the wrong replacement if the adapter was the cause of the problem in the first place. Imagine my surprise when I found a match for less than $15! It was a lot smaller than the original but I tried it and it works. It's much easier to transport and doesn't overheat. Overall I'm very happy with the product and a little proud that I got through it without a service fix.
