Update: The seller sent a new ladder as a replacement without me asking for it. They also sent a card apologizing for the problem. It was completely unexpected and refreshing to get that kind of service. The replacement ladder is just as nice and sturdy and doesn’t smell like the first one. I’m thinking maybe the first one was boxed too quickly after being painted?The ladder seems nice but holy cow the smell is HORRIBLE. It’s been sitting for a couple days and still smells so bad. I would never put a blanket on this as it is. If it doesn’t lose the odor within the next couple of days I’m returning it. Definitely not worth $70 if I can’t use it. Also 2 of the holes didn’t align right. I didn’t get any tools like others said they received. And the instructions were useless. I had to go back on Ebay and put it together based on pics of the item.
