This support band works as advertised. What I like about it is that it compresses the foot and supports the ankle. It's less bulky than some braces and goes better with shoes. I couldn't wear the orthosis with normal shoes because of the swelling. Suitable for tennis shoes with laces. I am recovering from a metatarsal fracture and my peroneal tendinitis and this brace has helped me. It reduced the pain when walking, allowing me to walk more without a crutch. I wear women's shoes in sizes 7 1/2 to 8 and small/medium fit well. It's easier in the morning when the leg isn't so swollen.
