This is my favorite brand of this type of tampon and I often have trouble finding them in local stores. They are great for cleaning when applying mascara. I've been using makeup for over 50 years and I still can't put on mascara without getting dirty. The flat side works well for cleaning under the lower lashes and the pointed end works well for the upper lashes. Because the tampons are so compressed, the cotton fibers don't fall out and get in my eyes. The hard plastic cases fit nicely in my first aid kit and when empty make nice little containers for paper clips, nuts, washers etc.
